Luján de Cuyo is the first Controlled Appellation of Origin in the Americas and where Argentine Malbec came of age. We visit three wineries across Agrelo, Perdriel and Las Compuertas: century-old houses, old-vine blocks and family projects. It is the ideal day to understand history, vine age and why the stony soil here gives different tannins from the Uco Valley.
An ideal choice for travelers with only one day to understand Malbec. Its proximity to the city allows for excellent winery visits without spending much of the day on the road.
