Uco Valley is Argentina's high-altitude wine frontier: vineyards between 3,300 and 5,600 feet at the foot of the Andes, with a day-to-night temperature swing of up to 32°F. That swing gives thick-skinned grapes, naturally high acidity, and fine tannins. It's where most of Mendoza's boutique wineries planted their most ambitious project over the last twenty years.
